A visit to the Pigeon Market Lier is completely free.

We would therefore like to welcome you to our cozy and historical “Grote Markt” located in 2500 Lier, Belgium

The pigeon market starts every Sunday morning at 8 am and ends at 1 pm.

In case of snowfall or heavy, prolonged March showers, we can fall back on an indoor location located at Florent Van Cauwenberghstraat 4, 2500 Lier. This is located 60 meters from the Grote Markt.

Rain or shine, the Pigeon Market Lier continues at all times as the tradition dictates!

Visitors arriving by car should set their GPS to the street name “Aarschotsesteenweg 2” or “Gasthuisvest”, 2500 Lier, Belgium. These are both free car parks located a few minutes from the Pigeon Market.

There are also camper parking spaces available at the car park located at Aarschotsesteenweg 2.

From the car parks, follow the green dashed line to the Grote Markt on foot. This route takes you past the Zimmertoren, one of the most characteristic clocks in Europe.

Parking as a visitor on and around the Pigeon Market is forbidden and will be reported!

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that it is forbidden to drive across the Grote Markt. Only the green arrows indicate the correct direction of travel as a visitor.

In the city center there is a speed limit of 30 km/h and cyclists may not be overtaken.

If you still want to park as close as possible to the Pigeon Market, we advise you to take the underground parking Grote Markt and set your GPS to the street name “Florent Van Cauwenbergstraat 15”. This car park is located 80 meters from the Pigeon Market, but is payable.
